PTA

Welcome to the  PTA

We have an active and thriving PTA, which holds regular events, some for fund raising and some social events. The main fund raising events are our Annual Summer and Christmas Fairs. The money raised is a valuable source of income to the school enabling us to purchase additional equipment for the benefit of the children at both sites.

Recent projects have included extra playground equipment, the purchase of digital cameras and payment for visiting Authors, Poets, Drama groups and musicians. Future projects will include large play equipment and support for developing the Playgrounds.

Christmas Fair!

It was lovely to see the whole school and community come together to enjoy yet another very successful Christmas Fair! We wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped, those who set up & broke down the fair (we cleared up in a record time of under 1 hour thanks to everyone’s help); sorted and transported the goodies; gave your time to run a stall or donated gifts and goodies and finally those who arranged for match funding from their companies.  We couldn’t have done it without you!  The money taken on the day was an (estimated) £10K which after costs will have generated a fantastic £8.5K for the PTA fund to spend on much needed projects for the school which will not only enhance the current children’s learning experience, but also for those of future generations!

GIFT AID YOUR DONATION TO BOOST THIS FUND!
Your generous donations of food/drink/gifts/cakes for the various stalls contributed hugely to the success of the fair. However, there is one more thing that you can do to boost your donation to the charity – by gift aiding it! By gift aiding a donation – be it monetary or non-monetary (food/drink/gifts/cakes, etc.) – we, as a charity can claim the 20% basic rate tax from the government that you would have already suffered in earning the funds to make that donation – less money for the tax man, more money for the charity!

In this instance, we are looking for those who donated to the following:

Raffle
Jolly Jars
Cake Stall
Chocolate/bottle/teddy tombola
Christmas money tree
Second hand toys, books, DVDs
Secret wrapping room
Mum’s board
and any other items donated which would have earned the fair money

So, if you are happy to gift aid your donation (and you are a UK taxpayer), then please copy and paste the following 2 short sentences below in a new email, filling the bracketed blanks, and send to ccnm.ptat@hotmail.com as soon as possible:

I, [full name] of [full address] would like to gift aid my donation of [description of item/s] made on 26th November 2016 to Christchurch New Malden Primary School PTA’s Christmas Fair.

I can confirm that I am a UK taxpayer and that I pay the same or more UK Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax for the tax year that this gift aid pledge applies.

Many thanks in advance for making our fund raising efforts go even further!
