Last week’s sunshine has been replaced by the more seasonal April showers. The children have been getting used to having to come in from the playground quickly, when the heavy rain starts to fall! Thankfully, Reception’s trip to Pizza Express was dry, and the children had a fantastic time making their own pizzas. You can see photos of their trip, and more, in the attached newsletter.
Thank you to all the parents who helped organise and run the two discos last Friday. The children had a super time and nearly £1,000 was raised!

Do remember the Bank of Christ Church School, where you can save your money each week in your own account? The bank is run by the banking leaders at the juniors and supported by volunteers and staff. Anyone in the school can open an account and each Thursday before school you can deposit money in to your savings. Our star saver has over £70 in her account already! If you would like to open an account or join the banking team, please contact Mrs Wogan or any of our expert banking leaders. Happy saving!

New SEND World Survey
Achieving for Children is currently consulting on SEND education provision in Kingston and Richmond, specifically on proposals to invest in early intervention services and to understand better the barriers that prevent schools feeling confident and competent to support children and young people with SEND. The survey accessed via the link below forms part of this consultation and parents/carers and families are invited to complete the survey before the closing date on 4 May. The survey can be accessed here.
Charity Walk for Peace – Final reminder
As you will have read, we are being invited by Mr Anees, on behalf of the Amiddayan Muslims to take part in their charity walk for peace on the morning of Sunday 29th March in Windsor Great Park. This is a beautiful place for a walk, and you and your family can take part in as much or as little as you feel is suitable. It will be followed by a free home cooked lunch. The walk will raise funds for both our chosen charity Lunchbowl and the school (£2000 of match funding). For more information, click here.

Exterior Doors to Junior Classrooms
As you will know from the last bulletin, we were advised that the doors would be fixed last weekend. Unfortunately the contractors were experiencing difficulties acquiring the correct hinges and the work has been delayed. We have contacted the original architect and builders to express our concern about these problems. The governors are also keen to pursue this matter on behalf of parents and children alike.
Years 3 to 5
Please could you ensure your child does not bring putty, toys or stationery to school. Only year 6 are allowed to bring stationery.
Year 6 – Art
Please could you send in a piece of fruit or a vegetable for our Art project by next Tuesday, 1st May.
Spare Swimming Kits
We are always in need of spare swimming kits so if your child has outgrown a swimming costume/shorts, or you are replacing towels and have any spare ones, please donate to the Junior office.
If you have ever borrowed a spare swimming kit and not returned it, please return it to the office.
