Christ Church New Malden

The first Vicar of Christ Church founded the school in Lime Grove in 1867.

The School has very close connections with Christ Church, St John’s and other local worshipping communities which enhance the school’s strong Christian ethos:

  • The majority of our governors are appointed either by the Parochial Church Council (PCC) of Christ Church and St John’s or the Southwark Diocesan Board of Education.
  • Clergy and lay ministers from Christ Church and St John’s take assembly at both sites every Wednesday.
  • We hold a special service at Christ Church on the last day of each term.
  • Each year, in July, Christ Church holds a School Celebration to mark these close links.
  • Our choirs, orchestra and recorder groups hold regular concerts at Christ Church.
  • The PCC of Christ Church makes a financial contribution to the school each year.
