It has been so lovely to be able to plan exciting activities once more. This week, our revised plans came together for our School Journey to the Isle of Wight for Year 6. Thank you to Mr Burkinshaw who worked so hard to make this possible. On Wednesday, we had a fun and thought provoking transition morning for Year 6. Thank you so much to Mrs Plummer and all the people who supported her in making it such a success. On Thursday, the Infants had their skipping workshop and I have seen them enthusiastically practising their skills today. We have also been able to welcome the new Reception parents on site in a series of socially distanced talks. It all gave us a very pleasant foretaste of September and bodes well for us to be able to offer our usual ‘meet your new teacher morning’ for children on Wednesday 21st July. (We will therefore share with you which class your child will be transferring to on Friday 16th July, so that you know in advance).
Clubs: Next Year
We are intending to reintroduce a full programme of clubs from September 2021. Our previous programme of clubs evolved over time. This therefore seems an excellent opportunity to review our offer, before reintroducing more clubs again. Parents/Carers have been sent a form to complete to help us with this process.
Sports Day Booking
We are so pleased that we can invite parents to Sports Day; Friday 9th July for Juniors and Friday 16th July for Infants. To keep everyone safe, only one adult will be able to attend sports day for any child and you will be required to book your place in advance. All adults will be required to wear face masks, unless exempt, and have evidence of a recent negative lateral flow test result or of a double vaccination. Parents/Carers have been emailed with links to book tickets.
Next year, we are asking children at the juniors to bring in their own pencil case and stationery. We have found that this year when, due to COVID, children had their own allocated supply of equipment, children enjoyed having their own equipment and they took pride in it, ensuring it lasted longer. However, children have said they would like a bit more personalisation so next year, at the juniors, children will have that choice. Next week, we will give you the details of what should be included, which can be bought from any supplier, but we are working with Suttles of New Malden so you will be able to buy everything at a discount there. If we receive the Pupil Premium for your child, you will get a voucher for the items.
INSET days: Friday 2nd and Monday 5th July
Do remember that Friday 2nd and Monday 5th July are INSET days. Children should only be in school if you have booked spaces at Connect Plus. This will be held on the Infant site (9am- 4pm) for both Infants and Juniors.

Thanks to all those performers who have already sent in singing videos. For those who are not quite ready, please send them in by Monday 28th June – last chance! Please email to (Year 3/4) firstname.lastname@example.org and (Year 5/6) email@example.com having checked the information below:
