November 13th 2020

Dear Parents/Carers,

Thank you so much for all your generous donations. It has been fantastic to see so many parcels come for Reception and Nursery. There has been such a buzz as they have started to use the different gifts.  We have also been very excited that the donations for the older year groups have already enabled us to order:

  • a set of rechargeable stopwatches,
  • an outdoor table tennis table for the juniors (we have drawn on the funds we were given as there could not be a Korean Food stall this year at the Summer Fair),
  • ‘Digimaps’ – an online mapping system, and
  • an inspiring scheme for teaching computing across the infants and the juniors, which we know the children will enjoy.

Next we will look to fund Christmas art materials for the infants. We have also seen that there have been many contributions to the Governors’ Fund. Not only has it been lovely to buy things that we would not be able to fund otherwise, it has also been so encouraging to know we have such a supportive parent community.

We would like in particular to thank the families of the following pupils:

Orla and Emily Tompsett

Finlay and Joey Bruce

Bella and Samuel Edwards

Yeonju Kang

Hannah and Holly Albert

Euan Bae

Joshua and Daniel Han

Kristina Bardhi

and our many donors who wish to remain anonymous.

Women’s Return to Work Service

Are you a woman living in the borough of Kingston upon Thames? Are you ready to start, or have started your search for a job or are you perhaps looking to enrol in a course after taking some time out caring for others? Are you not quite sure how to get started or need help with your CV or interviewing?

If so, please see that attached leaflet regarding a service run by Balance, a charity based in Surbiton.  They recognised that it can be challenging for a woman to return to work after taking time out and applied for funding from the European Social Fund (ESF) to provide this new and free service to provide coaching and support.
