November 5th 2021

Dear Parents/Carers,

I hope you all managed to have a good time with your families over half term. It has been reassuring to see the number of COVID cases reduce, although I know that some of you have unfortunately still been affected.  I would like to thank families for being so responsive to requests to use lateral flow tests or even PCRs. I know that this is not pleasant for anyone, especially children.

It has been good to be able to see some of you this afternoon and to celebrate your child’s learning. Let me reassure you that children have also enjoyed sharing their work with each other and with senior leaders, so I believe that it has been a positive experience for all.

Someone else collecting your child?

We are in the annual process of reviewing our safeguarding arrangements and have made a change to the process for letting us know that someone else is collecting your child.

  • Before 1pm – please inform your class teacher, via the class email ie with the name of the person picking up your child and a password so we can confirm that they are the correct person. The adult collecting on your behalf can collect from the classroom.
  • After 1pm – please inform the office by phoning with the name of the person picking up your child and a password so we can confirm that they are the correct person. Please note that this person will be required to collect your child from the office.

**Last call to all instrumentalists!** – Carol Concert – Thursday 9th December @ 5pm

We are looking for orchestral instrumentalists to support our school orchestra at our outdoor carol concert. The repertoire will be mostly well known carols and Christmas songs, and music will be available in advance. If you think you will be available to help please email me: by the end of next week so that we can organise music.

A great fun opportunity for parents to be a part of the school community and support our children. Anyone who can play is welcome (ex pupils also) – so please dust off those music cases and come and play.  Thank you – Lucy Bond.
