A new year has begun! It has been lovely to see the children’s excitement as they move up a year and get used to their new classrooms and teachers. As I have walked round the school there has been a real buzz, and it is wonderful to see the enthusiasm with which children are engaging with their learning. We have a busy term ahead of us, as the children learn about dinosaurs or rainforests or the human heart, as well as becoming better readers, writers and mathematicians. It is also lovely to see the smart refurbished toilets and classroom for Hedgehog class.
We want to partner with parents, so from next week you will get a weekly ParentMail from your child’s year group, with information about learning and tasks you can do at home. We want also want you to contact us, if you have any questions or concerns – do use the attached information sheet to help you.
You can now report your child’s absence through the ParentMail App, making it easier for you to tell us that your child will be absent. Absence reporting will only work through the mobile App, so it’s important that you have downloaded the App onto your iPhone or Android device. Click here for more information. We will review how successful this is at the end of term.
Children should have their full PE kit in school every day, regardless of whether it is their PE lesson that day.

This week sadly, we have heard that Mrs Timmins, who has worked in the school office for 16 years, will not be returning to us. She has been a familiar face to hundreds of children and parents and we know that you will join us in expressing gratitude for all the care and support she has provided over these years. We will also be happy to pass on any cards that you would like to send.

- Learning Support Every morning and lunchtime in Year 4. (16 ¼ hours per week)

Kingston Council have installed cameras outside both sites to photograph people illegally parked. Please remember not to park on the yellow zig-zagged line at drop off or pick up, or in front of neighbours drives.
